Meeting A Need

Many children with disabilities in China are abandoned and left alone. These innocent children are left without anyone to care for them and love them. It is horrible, because they have special needs they are not thought of as having value. Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife MaryBeth Chapman saw the need, and are doing something about it. They founded Maria's Big House of Hope

This is an orphanage for children in China with special needs ages 5 years old and younger. They can also have the medical care and surgeries they need here. The home is named in memory of Maria Sue Chunxi Chapman a five year old girl who was adopted from China by the Chapmans when she was one year old. There is a two week mission trip this summer to Maria's Big House of Hope. I would really love to go, but I am not sure if I will be able to. I think those serving at Maria's Big House of Hope are doing a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Here is a blog where you can see some stories and pictures of some precious babies who come to Maria's Big House of Hope
